How do families, foundations and their advisors manage giving today?
I'm looking for a few conversations about how giving actually gets done.
I'm Todd Miller, and I'm researching how philanthropic families, foundations, donor-advised fund holders and the advisors who support them run their giving day to day. I'm early in this work and mostly trying to listen.
What I'm asking for
A 30–45 minute conversation about how things work for you today: what you do, who is involved, what tools you use, and how a recent decision played out. There are no right answers, and I'm not selling anything.
What to expect
- A video or phone call, scheduled at your convenience
- Questions about your own experience, not opinions on a product
- Nothing to prepare or share in advance
What you get
- A short summary of what I learn across these conversations, shared with everyone who takes part
- A donation to a charity of your choice, as a thank-you for your time
How I'll handle what you tell me
What you share stays confidential. I won't name you or your organization anywhere without your explicit permission, and my notes are used only for this research.
